Very happy we made the switch from pocket spring to a Revor latex mattress. No more tossing and turning and we are waking up refreshed. The service we had from the team at Latex Bedding Co was also exceptional.

From the start this was a positive purchasing experience. Dave & Cliff at the Crows Nest store were extremely helpful, with no pressure selling tactics applied! They were very professional and extremely knowledgeable regarding the bedding industry and particularly latex. After deciding on our purchase our mattresses (Euro Natural long singles, which can be placed on adjustable beds) were delivered on time by a friendly and helpful delivery driver. Overall we would highly recommend this company, after doing much research on all types of mattresses. Thanks again Dave for the great service! Corrie & Lyn

Dave was very patient while we figured out what we needed - split queen Wimaflex beds with motorised slat bases and madrid mattresses. I was impressed that he didn't just push us to the most expensive option but helped us find the right choice. Now that we have been using it for a month or so we are very happy and sleeping comfortably. Even when we encountered a minor hiccup associated with the delivery and assembly, Dave was terrific and went to quite a bit of trouble to sort out those wrinkles. First class!

Frequently Asked
Questions

What does 100% Bamboo Fibre mean?

When a product is labeled as “100% bamboo fiber,” it means that the material used to make the product is derived entirely from bamboo plants. In the case of bedding such as duvets, this indicates that the fibers used to construct the duvet are sourced purely from bamboo.

Here’s what “100% bamboo fiber” typically entails:

  1. Natural Source: The bamboo plant serves as the sole source of the fiber. Bamboo is a type of grass that grows quickly and abundantly, making it a sustainable and renewable resource.

  2. Processing: Bamboo fibres can be extracted from the bamboo plant using various methods, such as mechanical or chemical processes. Mechanical methods involve crushing the bamboo stalks and mechanically combing out the fibres, while chemical processes involve breaking down the bamboo into a pulp and then extruding fibres. The specific processing method can impact the characteristics of the final fibre.

  3. Properties: Bamboo fibres are known for their softness, breathability, and moisture-wicking properties. They are often hypoallergenic, making them suitable for individuals with sensitive skin or allergies. Additionally, bamboo fibers can have natural antibacterial properties.

  4. Sustainability: Bamboo is considered an eco-friendly material due to its rapid growth rate and minimal need for pesticides or fertilizers. Products made from 100% bamboo fibre are typically marketed as environmentally friendly options.

Overall, when a duvet or any other product is labelled as “100% bamboo fibre,” it indicates that the material composition is entirely derived from bamboo, offering the associated benefits of bamboo fibres such as comfort, sustainability, and hypoallergenic properties.

Certainly! This cover is designed to fit standard-sized pillows commonly found in most homes

Does the bamboo pillow protector have any special care requirements?

Caring for bamboo fibre bedding involves several simple steps to maintain its quality and longevity:

  1. Machine Wash: Bamboo fibre bedding can typically be machine washed. Use a gentle cycle with cold water to help preserve the fabric’s integrity. Avoid using hot water, as it can cause shrinkage or damage.

  2. Mild Detergent: Use a mild, eco-friendly detergent without bleach or harsh chemicals. These can be too harsh on bamboo fibres and may cause damage over time.

  3. Avoid Fabric Softeners: Fabric softeners can leave residues on bamboo fibre bedding, affecting its softness and breathability. Instead, consider using vinegar as a natural fabric softener or look for a detergent specifically designed for bamboo fabrics.

  4. Gentle Drying: Bamboo fibre bedding can be tumble-dried on a low or gentle setting. Avoid high heat, as it can damage the fibres. Alternatively, air-drying is a gentle option that helps preserve the fabric’s quality.

  5. Ironing: Bamboo fibres are naturally resistant to wrinkles, but if ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting. Alternatively, hang the bedding immediately after drying to reduce wrinkles.

  6. Avoid Bleach and Harsh Chemicals: Bleach and harsh chemicals can weaken bamboo fibres and cause discolouration. Opt for natural cleaning agents and avoid products containing chlorine bleach.

  7. Rotate Bedding: To extend the lifespan of bamboo fibre bedding, consider rotating between multiple sets. This reduces wear and tear and allows each set to rest and recover between uses.

  8. Store Properly: Store bamboo fibre bedding in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and deterioration.

By following these care instructions, you can keep your bamboo bedding clean, soft, and comfortable for years to come.
