The Madrid has a 100% natural latex core in a medium-firm feel, giving gentle but definite support with good isolation between the two sides of the bed.

The latex is made by the Dunlop process, not Talalay, so it settles naturally as it cures rather than being frozen. That produces a denser, longer-lasting core.

At 25cm it sits between the Euro and the Monaco. It suits sleepers who want support to be present and reassuring rather than plush and enveloping.

Back and stomach sleepers, and anyone who finds soft mattresses leave their lower back aching in the morning.

Yes. Every European latex mattress comes with our 180-day Comfort Guarantee, so you have a full six months to be certain.

We ask that you give it at least 14 nights first. Natural latex feels different to a sprung or memory foam bed, and your body genuinely does need a fortnight to adjust.

The guarantee period starts the day your mattress is delivered, and you may exchange once. It covers comfort, not a change of size. A nominal fee of $200 covering delivery and pick-up applies to the exchange. Returned items must be in original undamaged condition and packaging.

Natural latex does not break down the way polyurethane foam does, and there are no springs to fatigue. A quality latex mattress realistically lasts 20 to 30 years, which is why we are comfortable warranting it for a quarter of a century.

Use a slatted base with gaps no wider than 7cm, add a mattress protector, and rotate it end to end a few times a year.
