An open cell structure in a latex mattress acts like an air pocket network, enhancing airflow, temperature control, and comfort. It allows the mattress to “breathe” and adapt to your body shape, providing a cooler and more comfortable sleep. Additionally, it evenly distributes your weight, offering support and relieving pressure for a better night’s rest.
Discover enhanced comfort and convenience with our innovative Bamboo Mattress Cover. Elevate your sleep, simplify maintenance, and embrace eco-friendly bamboo fibres for a fresher, hassle-free sleep environment.
Latex is hypoallergenic due to its natural resistance to dust mites, mould, and mildew. Additionally, its dense structure and lack of open fibres inhibit the accumulation of allergens, making it a great choice for those prone to allergies or sensitivities.
What our customers think
Choosing a mattress is a personal decision influenced by individual factors such as firmness, body type, weight, and health issues.
The Euro Mattress offers a medium-soft feel, often preferred by those with curvier builds.
The Madrid Mattress, with a medium-firm rating, suits less curvy individuals.
The Monaco Mattress, rated as gently soft, appeals to those seeking a luxurious feel and individuals with sensitivities.
However, it’s important to note that while Revor Mattresses offer numerous benefits, individual experiences can vary. It’s always a good idea to consult with one of our specialists to determine if a Revor mattress aligns with your specific needs.
Choosing the right mattress size depends on various factors like your sleeping preferences, room size, and whether you share the bed. Here’s a general guide:
Consider your personal preferences, room size, and who will be sharing the bed to determine the best size for you.
Approximately 5 years back, a customer approached us with a unique request: to craft a king-sized mattress that retained the spaciousness but was more manageable. Our solution was to create a King with two 90 x 200 cores (latex blocks) within a King-sized cover. Since then, the demand for a “single block” King has diminished for several reasons.
Firstly, maneuvering or rotating a single-block King Latex mattress proved to be incredibly burdensome, resulting in individuals neglecting the recommended rotation frequency. Additionally, the versatility of having two separate cores allows for customization, such as creating a “his & hers” setup by adjusting each side’s firmness and simply zipping up the King-sized cover.
Furthermore, the practicality of handling a long single core by oneself contrasts starkly with the necessity for 2-3 people to manage a traditional King mattress. The modular design facilitates ease during relocation, whether within the house or during a move, as it can be done in separate pieces.
Beyond convenience, the dual-core configuration minimizes partner disturbance and eliminates the presence of a “lump, join, or gap” typical of traditional mattresses. This is due to the inherent structure of latex, which lacks the rigid edges found in innerspring systems, coupled with the secure cover that prevents core shifting.
While we can still produce a “one piece” King mattress, the overwhelming preference post-experience with our dual-core design indicates a clear customer preference for its benefits.
Natural Latex: It’s a milky liquid extracted from rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis). This natural material is used in various products, including mattresses, gloves, balloons, and adhesives. In mattresses, natural latex offers a supportive and comfortable sleep surface.
In the context of mattresses, latex is often prized for its durability, comfort, and ability to provide both support and pressure relief. It’s known for being responsive, meaning it contours to the body but quickly regains its original shape when you change positions. Additionally, natural latex mattresses are often preferred by those seeking more environmentally friendly options due to their biodegradability and renewable sourcing from rubber trees.
Here are some tips:
Routine Cleaning: Vacuum your mattress regularly to remove dust, dirt, and debris. Use a soft brush attachment to avoid damaging the latex.
Spot Cleaning: For stains, use a mild detergent diluted in water. Gently dab the stained area with a clean cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach as they can damage the latex.
Deodorizing: To remove odors, sprinkle baking soda on the mattress surface and let it sit for several hours before vacuuming it off. Baking soda helps absorb odors.
Protection: Consider using a mattress protector to shield your latex mattress from spills, stains, and dust. This will also make cleaning easier as you can simply remove and wash the protector.
Avoid Moisture: Prevent moisture buildup on the mattress as it can damage the latex. If the mattress gets wet, blot the area with a dry cloth immediately and allow it to air dry completely.
Sunlight: Occasionally, exposing your mattress to sunlight can help eliminate bacteria and moisture. However, avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods as it might cause damage.
Always check the manufacturer’s instructions or recommendations for specific cleaning methods as they might vary depending on the type of latex used in your mattress.
Disposing of your old mattress might come with limitations. However, Softlanding offers a convenient solution by providing mattress pickup and recycling services for a small fee. To learn more, visit www.softlanding.com.au or contact them at 1800 763 852.
Our 100% natural latex mattresses can offer several benefits, especially for individuals with specific medical concerns:
Pressure Relief: Natural latex conforms to the body’s contours, providing excellent pressure relief. This can be beneficial for those with joint pain, arthritis, or conditions like fibromyalgia.
Support: Revor latex mattresses feature strategic zoning, providing a harmonious blend of support and cushioning. This unique design can be especially beneficial for individuals dealing with back pain or spinal concerns. The zoning structure aids in maintaining proper spine alignment, particularly during side sleeping.
Hypoallergenic Properties: Natural latex has inherent resistance to dust mites and mould, making it a suitable choice for people with allergies or respiratory issues.
Durability: High-quality natural latex mattresses tend to be durable, maintaining their shape and support over time. This longevity can be beneficial for individuals with chronic conditions who require consistent support.
Motion Isolation: Latex can absorb movement, reducing disturbances from a sleeping partner. This feature can be helpful for individuals with conditions that make them sensitive to movement or disturbances during sleep.
However, it’s important to note that while natural latex mattresses offer numerous benefits, individual experiences can vary based on specific medical conditions. It’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional or one of our specialists to determine if a latex mattress aligns with your specific needs. Additionally, personal comfort preferences play a crucial role, so testing a mattress or opting for a trial period can be beneficial before making a final decision.
Latex mattresses work well with various bed bases, but the best choice often depends on personal preferences and the specific type of latex mattress you have. Here are some options:
Slatted Bases: Slatted bases offer good support and airflow for latex mattresses. Ensure the slats are evenly spaced (usually 2-3 inches apart) to prevent sagging.
Platform Beds: These solid bases provide excellent support for latex mattresses. Ensure the platform is sturdy and has enough ventilation to prevent moisture buildup.
Adjustable Bases: Latex mattresses are usually compatible with adjustable bases, allowing you to elevate different parts of the mattress for added comfort while reading or watching TV.
Box Springs: While box springs were traditionally paired with innerspring mattresses, some people still prefer them with latex. However, ensure the box spring is firm and offers adequate support to prevent sagging.
Solid Foundations: Solid foundations or bed frames made of solid wood or metal with a flat, firm surface can also work well with latex mattresses.
When choosing a bed base, consider the manufacturer’s recommendations for your specific latex mattress. Some warranties may require specific types of support to maintain the warranty coverage. Additionally, ensure proper ventilation to prevent moisture buildup, which can affect the durability of the latex.
